Grupo de Información en Reproducción Elegida
GIRE is a feminist organization, whose mission is to achieve a cultural transformation in Mexico through the demand for reproductive justice, from a human rights perspective.
GIRE has established itself as a reproductive rights organization. In addition to the issue of abortion, since 2011, it has placed on the discussion table priority issues from the perspective of women’s human rights, such as contraception, obstetric violence, maternal death, assisted reproduction, and work-life balance.
VIRK has collaborated with GIRE in the generation of their website, interactive data visualizations, the Covid-19 Gender Observatory and multiple websites to disseminate their research. In addition, over the last three years, we have accompanied them in the maintenance of their digital infrastructure through a technical support plan, supporting them in the security and communication challenges brought about by the growth of their organization and the digitalization resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.
