The primary objective of the CRIMJUST Project is to contribute to the fight against organized crime in general and against drug trafficking in particular, in the cocaine route, in accordance with the provisions of human rights and international legal instruments.
Transparencia Internacional
From villages in rural India to corridors of power in Brussels, Transparency International gives a voice to victims and witnesses of corruption. They work together with governments, businesses and citizens to stop abuse of power, bribery and secret deals.
Between 2016 and 2020, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), in association with the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) and Transparency International, will launch the CRIMJUST project aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of of investigation and criminal justice on the cocaine route in Latin America, the Caribbean and West Africa.
The platform enables contextualized assessments of deficiencies in the accountability mechanisms of law enforcement and justice institutions charged with combating organized crime but which are also exposed to infiltration by this type of crime.
